Hello and welcome to our experience with fertility and IVF
I’m Eric on the left. And I’m Sam on the right. We’re award-winning filmmakers living in Florida on the beach with Max our 15-year old pup (and yes, he is the bestest boy). We’ve been together for six years, married for three. Like every couple does, we talked about whether we wanted children. We were unsure then and quite honestly, we are unsure still. In 2024, a colleague told us about a pilot program for a new approach to IVF. Thus started our journey into the world of IVF.
We turned on the Google to start our research, and quickly became overwhelmed by all the information out there. We talked to our primary care provider, then had a telehealth consult with a fertility doctor who was pretty brusque. Thus ended our journey into the world of IVF (for a good while at least).
Now it’s 2026, Sam is turning 40, and the clock suddenly feels a lot louder. So here we are, picking up where we left off, this time writing it all down. The Frozen Egg is our attempt at giving others calm, step by step, easy to understand information, so the next person finds an easier start than we did.
